Thanks man, and yeah -- I really had no idea these were that legit. I'm not even saying that to push the sale...ultimately I will gladly keep and use these.
On both my 1ers I've always used PSS'. I've been hearing about Federal's as of late and seriously, for the price -- this time around -- I said F-IT! To my surprise, the grip is just a good in a straight-line, roll, dig, & daily-driving. BTW, I'm FBO + Meth...pushing some serious shit -- grip is damn good! For my E82, I was originally looking to get 595-RSR's but couldn't find them. Instead, I bought a full set of 595-SS's (235-front & 255-rear). After weeks of driving around with this setup, I was finally able to get a hold of some 255 rear RSR's. I really didn't need them, but they are so cheap -- I jumped on it anyways. My assessment of the RSR's (if anyone gives 2-shits) is also 5/5 stars. Couldn't really tell the difference. Damn good tire! I was so impressed that on my DD S2K, I bought another full-set of 595-SS's (what I'm selling now). It's a square setup and don't really like the way 18's look on an S2K (looked better in pictures). That said, I have (3) pairs of 255/35/18 Federal 595-SS's but I'm keeping (1) as a backup -- lol. |

Synergist, Not sure. This is my first time so the jury is out on the life-span. I don't DD my 1er so it'll be a while before I go thru a set. If anyone else can chime in with experience, that would be great. That or do a little Googlen'
All I can vouche for is the grip at this point. It's comparable to my experience with PSS'. I've had the same mods/power setup for a while and my Michelin's were no longer able to put it down. Popped these in and it's like the first time i got my PSS'. Right now, I have about 1k on my current set. It's rainy season where I live in FLA and pours everyday/every afternoon. So far so good. In terms of noise -- shit, IDK. I can't tell. Cars make noise man...what can I tell ya. |

The tread life is pretty good so far. I drive from Vegas to San Diego 3-4 times a month, and been on these tires, as well as daily, and mob in' around. My cousin used to run Federals on his turbo lotus, and his mini S.

A lot of people swear by these tires on the Nurburg Ring. I wanted to try them but I still have my PSS.

I bought a pair of federal 595 a few years back for my 330i.cheap and great grip.before the 3rd summer I was was swapping my winters and noticed the inside sidewall had a deep split which was approximatly 1/4 of the circumferance of the tire.looked at the other rear and same thing.I will try to find a picture of this and post it.
