$30 fine for parking in a resident parking only area and you will get a ticket. I have a visitor parking permit I can lend to someone, but you have to park in Cambridge, not Somerville, which is about 2 blocks away from Red Bones.

They are like the gestapo when it comes to writing tickets down there. when i used to live over there i had several hundred dollars worth of tickets every year.
im gonna head in early (prolly 630 or 7) because beer selection kicks ass and i just want to make sure they havent forgotten about us.

I agree. An event in the burbs or some place with a big big lot would work. Nothing ever gets too packed outside of the city, and there are a lot of great places (BBC, StoneForge)

All of our previous dinners have been outside the city..... There will be more PM me places to put on the next poll! Plus there are quite a few people who aren't driving their 1's in the winter.

Rachel is out ice racing today, probably breaking the sound barrier as we speak. I figure I can give an update for now till she starts uploading photos:
So, having just recently joined the forum, I decided to take a chance and go to the dinner last night. I'd never really gone to such a thing, so I figured I'd check it out, and then I'd take off if it was strange or not my bag of tea. Well, I ended up having a great time, everyone was super friendly and made me feel very welcome and included. I ended up staying much later than I had planned to, and conversation was excellent and varied. Redbones was crazy packed (usual) but we did end up getting a table, and everyone seemed very happy with their meals. Beers were had. We left an excellent tip because everyone knows 1 Series owners are a classy group of people. Afterward, some people went off to a party, Dr. Jones went home to do something (ahem), and some of us went over to Diesel for some tea and such. I would definitely go to another event in the future (if they will have me...), and I recommend to anyone who has been lurking on the NE forum to definitely come out, you will have a good time. Great group of people. Oh, and to everyone in attendance last night, thank you for letting me crash your get together and for making me feel very welcome, I appreciate it. I will try to place faces with names and names with screennames if I can. |

BAM! just facebooked you! Thanks for coming out Viktor and taking the chance on the group! We always love having new people and thanks for the kind words; maybe we can get some more newbies! That was some damn good BBQ if I must say and it got the southerner stamp of approval! I hope you guys had a good time sipping on your tea. Mings party was fun and is the reason why i just woke up lol. You all missed my 43 point turn that I had to do to get out of brians drive way. It took skill. I hope Dr. jones got in some more sweet poses after he left too Camera was probly forgotten on purpose. i didnt even see anyones 1er. Cars and coffee should bring some more photos which im excited about. ok now im going to try to do something productive with my day, peace!
