1M rotors on a 135 ?

Been thinking of when I adapted the Z4 with a set of Z4 M rotors and 135i calipers with a 5mm spacer and they bolted right up, does anybody know if adding such a spacer and moving the caliper outward would be enough to fit the 1M rotors ? Didn't know if this was done before and seems easy enough. It be nice to fill up the wheel with more rotor.

I think the limitation is the width of the rotor. The 1m rotor is 30mm which seems to be too wide for the brake pads. If I remember correctly, racingbrake was experimenting with that rotor width when developing their two piece rotor but had issues with fitment so they stuck with 28mm.

...But to be honest, I hope I am wrong and they somehow fit. I would love to have 1m rotors.

here was the brake job i did a while back with the 135I calipers mated to the Z4M rotor which i think is 30MM could be wrong but everything fit like a charm!

thinking of doing something similar with the 1M rotor.

ECS tuning replacement rotors are also 30mm thick so they should fit just you need adapters

Fantastic! Let the mod begin !

I'll have to send my carriers out to have the spacer welded on.

Just need to do some test fitting to make sure as to what size spacers I need to add.

Might make this a winter project.

The ECS website shows the two piece rotor as 338x26 (ES#2550968). Thats the only two piece on the website.

The Z4M rotor is 345 x 28mm (OEM part number: 34112282445)

I hope someone links or adds data to say otherwise. I would still really love those 1M rotors.
