Radar Mounting Question

I have ordered a 2009 328i xDrive sedan and the time is getting closer to getting it, I should have it by the end of this month or early next month. I currently have an Escort Passport 8500 radar that i have hardwired to my previous car. I had the people at speed world do the hard wiring for a couple of bucks. In my current car, the device is sitting in the middle of the dashboard. I put it there just because I did not want to make it too visible. Now I am thinking where to put it on my new car, it seems like the correct place to put it is just under your mirror, or under the UV tint? Is it a bitch to pass the wire from the top so it is neater?

It's for a V1 but its probably similar for your passport.

Does anyone have any Escort radar hardwired to their E90? I am thinking about where I would put my mute button. Also im thinking about putting the radar to the left of the mirror. Here are some images, this is how my interior is supposed to look so I circled in the first picture where I could place the mute button, and the second picture where I could place the radar unit

Put the mute button next to the headlight switch opposite the foglight switch. It will look stock. Put the radar where you show it.

I dont wanna drill holes though, I am leasing the car lol, that is a very good idea though

I put my 9500ix right under my mirror and ran the hardwire right up to the ceiling. Works pretty well for me and has a good view of the front and rear.

I have an Excort SRX hardwired into my E93. That particular model has to be hard wired, The control unit is in the ash tray and with the cove closed the entire unit is hidden.
