Question Rim sealant for brake dust

Can anyone recommend where I can get a good rim wax/sealant, I called my local stores and they only had rim cleaners.

I've tried Wheel Wax and while it might help on some cars, it doesn't seem to do anything on either of my BMW's. I use Blackfire Wet Diamond on the wheels a couple of times a year and Armor All Wheel Protectant after every wash. Provided the wheels don't get wet, they look clean between washes.

I have had no luck with Armor All's product. BFWD Sealant or Collinite 845 would be good choices also.

I have been having decent luck with meguires quick detailer. It been a week and the still look good. On my advans anyway. Im not sure if the gloss on the advans contributed to it. I do notice a difference with the detailer tho.

You may have tried other Armor All products, but if you haven't tried the Wheel Protectant, you really should. I've used it, and it's great. Reviews by other users are almost universally positive, from what I've seen.

This is the key. All other Armor All products get the stink eye from me, but the wheel protectant is great stuff. Just allow it to dry over night, as it has a habit of slinging off if you drive right after spraying it on.

The AA stuff is good. Just make sure the wheels are clean, DRY and only apply one even coat.

I got WheelWax from Tischer BMW and they work great for me.
It also has a nice scent.

Just remember apply two coats to the front and one coat to the rear.

I tried everything... The AA one is the only one that I've been happy with... And I hate all their other products...

Before I made this thread I had called Auto One and they told me they didnt have it, even though I called twice to confirm.

Anyway went there today to get some cloths and car wash etc and I saw they had the AA stuff so got me some.

If I had known the opti seal etc would work too I would of got my rims done when I had my paint done last week.

+1...the Armor All product must be completely dry before you drive off. I am OCD so I ended up Opti coating my wheels and still use the Armor All. Works great.

have you tried

first cleaning them with Sonax Full Effect Wheel Cleaner, then use Wolf's Rim Shield it durable and works well.

(this works best when you can take off the wheel and make sure the wolf's rims shield or any wheel wax has good coverage.)

I use sonax to clean.
Armor All to coat. AA products in general suck, except for the wheel protectant- and it's the best. Didn't like wheel wax and opti coat is nice but $$.

I use FK1000p or Menzerna Powerlock for wheels. The key is proper preparation - take the wheels off and clean them thoroughly before applying anything. When washing wheels, try not to use anything that might strip the protection.

The Poorboy's World Wheel Sealant is my favorite wheel sealant, very strong protection, applies with ease and smells AMAZING!

I've got that. I found it to be almost useless. Although I do like the smell

Try chemical guys wheel guard over a layer of jet seal, they'll be easy to clean after.

If you want some crazy durable protection clean and polish your wheels and then apply the Optimum Opti-Coat 2.0 Permanent Paint Coating to them. That will last a long time and make the wheels look outstanding.
