572WHP 537WTQ - ACN 91 Octane, no meth - VTT Stage 3 Early Dynos PTF / COBB Protune

Hey guys VTT posted this over on e90. It's some good stuff

The car did 571WHP / 533WTQ, backed up by a 572 WHP / 537 WTQ. 91 Octane ONLY / NO METH. This is on COBB flash only, and was tuned by ProTUNING Freaks (PTF). This is with only 3 map revisions on the dyno, that's how close PTF was able to get me on on just street tuning using "whats app" and "dropbox" for file swapping, while the COBB AP made swapping maps and logging a breeze, never dealt with a more user friendly way to tune. If you had any previous doubts to the validity of remote or etunes. You can put them to rest. ProTUNING Freaks took a system that had never been run before, basically started from scratch without even seeing the car, and pulled that out of it. On whatever piss California is passing off as gas these days. Video is attached as well as an overlay of the graphs. We had a pesky Throttle correction down low that caused that small dip you see but its something easily tuned out on the street. We had limited time on the dyno so left it alone. Direct any tuning questions to DZENNO@ PTF and/or JAKE@PTF, and I can field any of the hardware question. But you guys pretty much know what this kit is by now. For our first day on the dyno we are pretty happy. But there is much more tuning to be done. Not sure if this qualifies for the N54 TT world record on 91 or any fuel for that matter. If anyone has done better let me know. Again thank all you guys for the patience and support.

That combined with the VTT Stage 3 twin turbo kit.

It will be great to see a 1er get this done.

I don't know that this will work on a 135i. There is so little room that even the stock rear turbo housings are smaller than on a 335i.

I dont think majority of us would like these big HP turbos... We've been spoiled with max torq at low rpm. People say RB turbos have lag... cant imagine what they would think about these turbos that spool at 4k...

Big turbos are fun for braggin, but horrible for daily driving. Max I think I'll do is RB style turbos.

I wouldn't mind a little delay in spool if that spool pulled me into the back of my seat like a rocket! But I understand where you're coming from, and for a DD I would have to agree with you.

Yeah, a good point. However, in would like to see what kind of power and response they can get with some of their smaller turbo offerings.

Personally I think the spooling is a BS issue.

This is a first dyno run just stating to dial in the system. The spooling like everything else with this system will only get better. They also did a quick "lets see what happens" run with some meth when they got heat soaked. Ran 602whp at 5500rpm where they shut it down.

There is a lot of potential in this system but I think once we see Stg2 dynos they will be the big sellers.

Pretty impressive results for 91 octane. I would only consider this upgrade if I had an AWD drivetrain, but it is intriguing to observe these results.

Amazing for just 91 octane only, regardless of turbo and bolt on upgrades. That has to be something like 25psi of boost. With the compression ratio of our engines that's very impressive.

IIRC correctly it's at 23psi-24psi
There's A LOT of power left in this setup
