I didn't notice that until you pointed it out. Also I suspect that viciousgook's got some M badges on his car as well if it has the M Sport package.

Yeah --we all probably have something "M suspicious" on our cars. Oh well, your car looks great -- I like simplicity and M colors.

Thanks! I knew when I put the M badge on the rear of my car that I would catch some grief for it. When I found one in gloss black that matched my gloss black 135i lettering I had to have it. I really don't see that it is any different than a car having M badges from the M Sport package on it, especially if I am not pretending that the car is something other than the 135i that it is.

There are also grey m stripes for the M emblem to accent the black M

How did you manage to flush the ends so neatly and flat onto the trunk?
Did you use the 3m tape? cant see the 3m tape thickness/gap in this shot.

i must say i am very impressed!

Thanks! I did use the 3M tape supplied with the spoiler. When I applied the tape to the bottom of the spoiler I tapered it toward the ends and did not let it go all the way out to the ends of the spoiler. I also test fit the spoiler with the tape on it before pulling off the backing to make sure I had the spoiler exactly where I wanted it. Once I had the spoiler in place I began pulling off the backing very slowly while applying pressure to the spoiler where the backing was being pulled off until I had all the backing removed. I then went back and applied pressure to the entire spoiler to make sure it was secure. Not really all that hard as long as you take your time.

Instead of the included 3M tape, I used a special type of glue adhesive (safe on paint, of course).

We'll see it how it holds up in a few days, weeks.

the supplied tape is pretty damn good, not sure why you would want to use a different product

Has anyone with a convertible purchased this in abs or carbon fiber?

I know our trunks have a slightly different profile but the seller lists the item as fitting the e88 too.

Will the spoiler flex and conform to different profiles?

the spoilers are fairly rigid. the only flexing, if any, was noted when i needed to make sure the tail ends were secure

I hate to revive an old thread but has anyone with Titanium Silver jumped on one of these? I'm not sure if I should get Jet Black or colour match.

Any suggestions?

I prefer the color matched route. Color matching is a little more subtle.

After looking at photos of the CF spoiler on silver 1ers, which practically looks black, I've been leaning towards jet black. But for that price, I could almost justify getting both and seeing which I prefer in person.
