Nah I didn't... should have though! "Honestly officer... I thought I was allowed to exceed the speed limit for the first week after I pick up a car? It's the Fair Go provision of the 1997 NSW Roads act. Don't be so unaustralian."
In fairness he was a nice and reasonable officer. He alleged that I was doing 80 in a 60 zone, which I don't think I was doing, but this is the first ticket I've got in a while so not overly fussed (still got 9 points left) |

Sorry to hear that Timbo. I find it VERY VERY difficult to stay below the speed limit in this car. Driving at 60 feels like almost standing still......

D3syd.. you're luck to be in Tas... I hear that there is a bit more flexibility in the approach to speed enforcement down there.... not to mention some seriously fun roads!

Timbo, thats just bad luck mate..
When I took Kris's car for a spin on the weekend I was all WIDE eyed and alert.. Kris thought i was being over cautious in his car but I was more concerned about the boys in blue.. |
