Another 135i hits the road

Well the day finally came! Picked mine up yesterday afternoon, and the wait was definitely worth it.

This forum not only has made the waiting easier, but has taught me so much about the car...when I finally got behind the wheel I felt like I knew it already. Thanks everyone!

Now, as we know this post would be useless without pics, so although they are only quick indoor snaps of dubious quality, here they are!

Congrats and yes nice refreshing change to see a black example with something different on the interior such as lemon

One thing though those pics make the lemon appear almost white, which it isn't, it's much more creamier than that, so must look fantastic in the flesh

Thanks guys, I am in love with it and the way it looks - parked it today at a Westfield and found myself walking backwards just looking at it.

But as a few of you mentioned, it will be a lot of work to keep it looking good, both inside and out. It's my first with this combo, and will probably be my last, but I've always wanted a car that looked like that, so what better way to do it than in the 1.

Anyone have a favourite brand for leather care products that I should try out??

Keep em in the boot

Again, love the combo, the wife just would go for it so we went for Coral which, as per Zuzu's car, is another excellent choice IMO.

Thanks mate.

Yeah, coral was my #2 choice, and when I finally got to drive a demo car it was coral/sapphire. It almost made me change my order!

Love the license plate! In the Wild West you can't have "BMW" on your plates as BMW has copyrighted the use of the name. I tried to book "1BMW-001" a few years ago and the licensing dept told me the entire 1BMW-XXX series (1000 number plates) had been blocked by BMW AG.

Hmmm, I've got to disagree with those wipes. Tried them a few years back and they made the leather shiny. Like using Armorall. However the Gold Class Conditioner Liquid is great. Bit strong smelling, bit leaves no residue and does a good job at reviving leather.

I actually noticed than when my wife wears her new dark denims it allways leaves a dark stain around the stitching on the seats..

And she aint a big girl...size 8

All I do, is use a damp microfibre cloth and it wipes clean..

The leather on the vert is treated slightly differently I think thou, due to the heat reflective properties..:iono:
