Am thinking of doing that this summer...just need 135i fender lines and then some way to attach behind the foglight. Will take some cutting I'm sure..but likely doable.

Looking HERE It seems as If I should be getting pads that fit the 06 330 in the front, and standard 128 in the rear. CT1061: 06 330i Front CT1267: 08 128i Rear But I remember reading earlier in this thread that my stock pads (128i pads) would work fine with the new rotors. Can anyone confirm which pads would be right for me? I'm using stock 128 calipers. XP10 is what was recommended by carbotech. Last edited by markslc1; 05-04-2016 at 03:37 PM.. |

I searched car-part.com and was tough to find anyone to sell me the carriers alone. Ended up with some 330 calipers complete with new pads and the carriers for $80 shipped (was $60 shipped for just the carriers, so why not...) Way cheaper than buying new even if I don't use the calipers.
Of course this still begs the question, would these 330i pads work in the 128i calipers? I'm thinking no based on my research, but wanted a second opinion. |

Use the 128 pads with the updated rotors.
I'm looking into this so I could lighten up the unsprung weight on the front of the car. Have some SULEV e90 330i aluminum calipers (same dimensions as the OEM 128i calipers), and am interested in switching to the 330 carrier to utilize the ECSTuning 2-piece rotors to drop another 2lbs of unsprung or so up front per wheel. |

Yes! those are the larger piston front calipers from the 330i/z4. They are lighter which helps offset the weight of moving to a 330mm rotor. You can even reduce unsprung weight a lb or two if you buy the two piece rotors.
I passed up this set and now I am kicking myself for it Definitely bolt up the new caliper (maybe rebuild/paint them?) if you're going to use those carriers anyway! Pads can stay the same, from what Iv'e read. Suprgnat had a thread where he detailed this conversion btw! Last edited by bNks334; 06-16-2016 at 10:08 AM.. |

I thought so too. But with unknown mileage Im not sure I want to use these calipers without rebuilding. Look over at rockauto right now and you can find a set for $210 WITH BRACKETS. Half that if you plan to send back the cores. Had I known, I would not have bothered getting used brackets and would have just got the rockauto setup.

I use my 17" style 262's in the winter is why I ask... I just picked up the aluminum 328i calipers (57/24/300) and 328i rears (42/20/300). I'd prefer to have the larger 330mm rotors though if they'd fit under the stock rims. Last edited by bNks334; 05-18-2016 at 08:56 AM.. |

[QUOTE=bNks334;19955348]I plan on buying a new lower front bumper grill and using a dremel to open up more of the honey comb... You can duct air from there and still keep your fogs. This is for the post 2011 face-lift active-e front bumper.
https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...t/51117263119/ QUOTE] Right - I'm thinking along the same lines as my pre-LCI bumper also has honeycomb grilles that can be drilled out.....from there I'm likely going to purchase the 135i fender liners and brake ducts and try to see if I can match things up |

130i Caliper Carriers
Hi, Can anyone help me with the casting number for the carriers to allow the 330mm Rotor Upgrade. My supplier tells me that the part number is not stamped on the part but it has a "Casting" number. He wants to make sure I have the correct part.
I'm planning to upgrade my 125i to 330mm discs (rotors) using the stock calipers. |

Part 34116769092 was found on the following vehicles: 3' E90 (02/2004 — 08/2008) 3' E91 (02/2004 — 08/2008) 3' E92 (05/2005 — 02/2010) Z4 E89 (01/2008 — 03/2016) which was superseded by 34116778146 (heavy cast caliper). I corrected the above post. Part 34116769094 was found on the following vehicles: 3' E90 (02/2004 — 09/2008) 3' E90 LCI (07/2007 — 12/2011) 3' E91 (02/2004 — 08/2008) 3' E91 LCI (07/2007 — 05/2012) 3' E92 (05/2005 — 02/2010) 3' E92 LCI (07/2009 — 06/2013) 3' E93 (09/2005 — 02/2010) 3' E93 LCI (07/2009 — 09/2013) X1 E84 (09/2008 — 06/2015) Z4 E89 (01/2008 — 03/2016) 34116769092 (2.370kg) and 34116769094 (2.390kg) are the two front calipers to buy. 34116769092 would come with a carrier for the 300mm rotor while 34116769094 would come with a carrier for the 330mm rotor. Again, not sure why they are listed with slightly different weights since I am guessing it's the exact same caliper, but if the 34116769092 weighs slightly less then hopefully it's a little slimmer making 330mm fitment possible with 17's.
