Finally Got rid of Run Flats !!!

I just replaced my stock 16" rims with a new set of 162's. Part of that transformation included ditching the run flats. Besides not having a spare I could not be happier. The new Yokohama Advan sports ride 100 times better than the runflats. Smooth as silk with no runflat roughness. I have to say the ride quality has certainly improved.

Does your computer have to be adjusted to know you don't have run flats, or can you just put on the tires without any kind of adjustments?

YEAH. THERE ARE BETTER RIDING RUNFLATS OUT THERE.

I DONT THINK I WOULD TRADE RUN FLATS FOR ANYTHING IN THE WORLD.

I MEAN IT JUST ADDS EXTRA SECURITY.

162

I used to think run flats were ok, now I realize how bad they actually were. For the sake of the ride quality I dont mind carrying a self sealing kit. Anyone considering regular tires-you won't be disappointed. As some else mentioned on the forums the run flats are great in theory but the technology is just not there.

Very nice guys,
I am planning on ditching my 16" wheels for some 162s with Hankook Ventus Non Runflat tires. I trust from your reviews that my ride quality will be much improved.
Thanks and keep up the good work...

Fuck the run flats tires

I did not really understand why BMW fucked up this great car with RFT tyres.
I found the reason yesterday when a screw destroyed my right rear tire. The position of the screw was in such a place that the tire could not be repaired.
And what a miracle the 225/45/17 91V RFT Brigestone Potenzas RE050AII are not imported in Greece by Brigestone but only by the central dealer of BMW in Athens!!! Since i live in the island of Crete i have to wait two days to get the new tire for only 300 Euros.
Guys get rid of RFT tires now, :rocks: not only they cost but the quality of riding is totally shit.

I ditched mine, and it's 100000000000 times better
