So I put the Summer stock RFT's on today.
2 questions: aren't they unidirectional? Nothing on the tires indicates that they should be mounted in the correct direction of rotation. Both pairs of fronts and rears are the same. Even the GTi had unidirectional tires: doesn't seem right for a performance tire to go both ways. Secondly, the contact surface of one of the tires is cracked all the way around. The car had 5000 miles on it, but was sold as a 'new' car. Has anyone else seen these cracks in their Bridgestones? I have already mentioned it to the dealer: I think they should replace them. |

Shitty Jap rubber. Have a look at the build date on the sidewall. I bet they are old lumps. IF the build week is old then five years - its time for new shoes.

The Bridgestones are shittastic rubber. Replace them ASAP, everything gets better when switching out from those POS tires.
