245/40 RS3 Tire Problem?
Ok so want to run squared 245/40 18 rs3 tired. I am on KW CS coilovers dropped enough where it is significant. Will I have any issues running a 40 tire vs a 35? RS3 doesn't come in a 245/35 18.

You won't be able to fit 245/40/18 on the front because it will hit the fender liner when you turn the steering and probably cause trouble in other places as well.
The rear fitment is possible, but I'd rather find a 35 profile tire. |

Is it possible with camber and a slight fender pull or is it more extreme than that?

In the rear, 265s fit on stock wheels with no flaring and no rubbing at stock camber - minor tweaks can fit 275. For a 255 on an 9" wheel, you'll need more than stock camber. At least -1.5 and an offset around 37 to 39. I'd recommend more camber though as once you get to -2.5 you open up the offset range to around 32 to 39 offset with more chance of it fitting. |

Either step down to 17 like Kgolf or use a PSS on 245/35-18. I think Pirelli makes a ridiculously expensive R-comp in 245/35-18 as well.
Another option is to go 255/35-18 on a 8.5" with a lot of camber. I know this works with stock suspension but coilovers may be tough due to the perches getting in the way. |
