Waste of time...

Sell the 130, buy a 135, modify properly, you're going to see more horsepower, less weight, and an overall better-handling car.

I'm all for engine swaps, but this one makes no sense.

So my question is why, and I guess the answer is two fold...a) because we can, and b) someone has to make it happen.

Holy Cow!

yea, but the biggest thing i can't get around is that "TURBO"s, i mean on the track the NA engine will most likely take a turbo which is why this car has an advantage over a 135.

Yup, exactly what I was thinking. But this is about 4 years old, isn't it? So nothing new to me. And the Hartge has more hp.

Wow wow. What's the weight on a 130i? What's the power/weight ratio on this baby now?

A buddy of mine had an E39 M5 with twin superchargers on it. It put down something like 620whp. Absolute beast. That car had a long 3rd gear. I want to say it could pull from 20-90mph in 3rd and you felt like your seat was going to snap in half as you body went flying out of the rear of the car the acceleration was so violent.

Yeah if you watch the video the guy driving says that if you are in 3rd gear coming out of a curve that you have to make sure you are lined up properly or else....then you see him powersliding through the curves...LOL

Firstly this was done before the 135i AND the hatchback 1er in Europe has been around for waaaaaaay longer than the coupe...so they have had time to work with it. I am almost 100% someone is going to try to shoehorn another M engine into a coupe....it just a matter of time

Except the Hartge one is an actual manufactured auto. Hartge is considered a car manufacturer even though they use other cars as the base.
