OBD2 connector and Coding
Hi everyone,
I recently obtained BMWhat application along with OBD2 Bluetooth adaptor. I managed to clear out a couple of faulty codes. My next goal was to code couple things for convenience but issue has risen. My OBD2 bluetooth connector isn't stable enough and the application wouldn't proceed with coding. I am wondering if anyone has OBD2 connector to usb or bluetooth in GTA area. I am hoping to try it out with whoever is willing to and buy another OBD2 adaptor. Let me know if you are interested! I'm located near Yonge and Finch. If you are curious what BMWhat can do, just follow this link. http://www.ivini-apps.com/coding.html Thanks! |

Did you guys order the adapters from BMWhat? or off ebay? Just wondering if that makes a difference....

I've successfully used an INPA / Ediabas K+DCAN USB Interface cable from a store out of HK (http://www.one-stop-electronics.com) in combination with this (http://www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B00FM1CTUG) USB OTG cable I bought from Amazon, all plugged into my Note 3.

I use this Bluetooth dongle along with BMWhat and did a bit of coding without any problems.

I had an alternative one that was fine for some stuff, but the BMWhat brand reader works faster, and it was allowing me to code all the modules. Its definitely better quality. I tried to cheap out too but I'm happy to report no issues with the official adapter.

It seems like there are quite a few of you who coded the car yourself. I will update everyone on the result of the route I am taking.
Maybe Darkrom is right and after all you need a higher quality adaptor. |

Secondly, your engine light is on. Lastly, my cheap bluetooth OBD2 can do Torque. It's the BMWhat that doesn't work. Fingers crossed because I ordered the exact same adaptor. |

So I got my adapter and coded a bunch of things which was great but there are two ECUs it won't let me touch. JBBF and CSM. So I can't code the windscreen wiper to complete a cycle if I turn off the car mid wipe.
No idea what the CSM does as it's not documented on the BMWhat site. Anyone else experience this? |

Haha If you look just above the Nexus you can barely see
my garage door. As a matter of self preservation I didn't start the car. Can't remember what camera I used Good luck. Keep us posted

It came and I tried to code using iViNi BMWHat application on Android. It failed. Now I am thinking maybe it'd better to buy USB connected OBD2 adaptor rather than Bluetooth enabled ones... Any idea? |
