Germany folks...who is your auto insurance carrier

My wife and I have ours through USAA and think it's pretty high. I know Germany is high, but this seems a bit ridiculous. Just seeing other alternatives without going through some hole in the wall. Thanks in advance.

Oh, do any of you have a VBOX mini as well? Thanks again.

The problem with American insurance companies is they are not licsenced in Germany. So... people like USAA use AIG to underwrite their policies. Whether they tell you or not. AIG is who your insurnace is from. $$$$

I use MIRASCON, they in turn use "Volksbund Versicherung" to underwrite their policies. The price is good. They were also friendly to talk to when I made a cracked windshield claim.

You might also try "Coburg-Huk" they are suppose to be a top notch company for insurance.

I use CHARTIS. They used to be AIU but have recentley changed their name. USAA quoted 320 a month for full coverage. CHARTIS is 168 a month with better coverages.

I have USAA and am also podering to change, but doesn't AIG have a "Nurburgring" clause? I'm gonna have to check some of the names mentioned adn see what is better.

By "ring" clause do you mean they will or will not over you? They way I understand it is since it's a "public" road your covered as long as you don't engage is racing activities...this is the same for the autobahn backroad etc... Please let me know.
