exhaust change 128 to 135

hi, if i put a 135 muffler instead of my stock 125i coupe muffler, would the exhaust tone, noise and noise level change?

A little. It's a bit deeper down low, and provides a bit more tone. If you disable the valve/flap (look up "golf tee mod") it's a bit more deep below 2500 rpm.

It's a subtle change, not a huge change, but noticeable.

how would you think the sound of the 135 muffler with golf tee mod compares with that of the BMW performance exhaust on the same car?

It's a lot quieter than the Performance exhaust.

Yes, not even close to the BMW performance exhaust (this is much more noticeable than the 135i muffler). There are exhaust media threads that will show you the differences...

So if you have headers already it sounds like the 135i muffler might be best if you don't want to be super loud correct?

I wanna do a 135i muffler and a resonator delete (replace with y-pipe). The 130i's I've heard sound epic with this setup. It sounds very bassy, tonal, and with a wonderful amount of overrun crackles and pops...

I'll edit with a link or two later for your viewing pleasure, school doesn't allow YouTube...
