Will an aftermarket deck installation lose JB4 steering wheel controls?

I'm looking to replace the factory HU and was curious if anyone knows how it will affect the JB4 UI through the steering wheel. I've searched around and can't find a definitive answer. Will the JB4 controls work with the aftermarket steering wheel controls harness? Without it?

Most likely yes, unless the aftermarket head unit is designed for bmws and comes with the appropriate harness - you'll also (most likely) loose reverse sensors and chimes
