Wheel Installation Cost?

I will be receiving the BMW Performance wheels in a few hours. Yesterday I went to Discount Tires to see how much it would cost to take off my stock runflats and throw them onto the new Performance wheels. They quoted me $150.

This just seems a bit expensive for a simple job. I'm hearing folks getting exhaust installed for $100 and I'm here with a simple wheel installation for $150.

Is this a fair quote?

Yes, it's pretty close if they have a runflat tire machine. If they don't have the runflat machine find a shop that does or you will risk having the tire monkey go at your wheels with tire irons. :eyebulge:

Every placed I have called said they don't have the equipment to install these wheels. Told me to go to BMW or to get a kit. I thought this should be a simple procedure.

BMW just quoted me $200 and said it should take less than 2 hrs. Yuck! He asked me, "So, what make these PERFORMANCE wheels?" I replied, "I don't know... you tell me. It's your wheels." He giggled and put me on hold.

Why don't you take the opportunity to get a set of non run flats performance tires for the new wheels?

I'd like to wear these out first. I do plan to go with nonRFs in the future.
