Will 245/40/18 rub @ the rears ?

I have a bulge in my rears RFT 135's (245/35/18) and the 255/35/18 which i plan to buy (non RFT) are not locally available.
My friend offered to lend me his 245/40/18s. Will this work without any issues till i get my new tires ?

245 MM wide versus 245 MM wide = Same width so it fits there
245/40 translates to 40% of 245 = 98MM tall sidewall
245/35 translates to 35% of 245 = 85.75MM tall sidewall

So I think they'd fit just fine and the sidewall is only 12.25 MM taller, and clearance isn't that close...
