Signs that you're a 1addict
Post up things you've done, seen or thought about that qualifies you (in your own precious and unique snowflake kind of way) as a 1addict.
I'm going to kick this off with: Was typing a business email to a staffer at my company and wrote, "client is very keen to procede" |

Seeing every 3er and thinking it's a 1er, getting excited and then going aww dammit when it isn't...only to repeat this process every 2 minutes because that's how often you see a 3er

Not being able to get anywhere on time because you like your car so much that you can't find a suitable parking spot.

Getting excited when you actually see another 1er on the road. Going out of your way to wave or raise your finger in the universal sign of the "1".

In order to maintain a certain image, I require my girlfriend to wear a mini skirt to reflect the youthfullness of the 1er. Now she thinks people stare at her when in reality they are drooling over the 1er. Around Charlestown Race Track, WV, appears to be some sort of eye candy.
Go to go wash the dust off the wheels to give the people a healthy dose of the 1er. |

Wake up in a cold sweat because you had a nightmare in which the HPFP failed on your car.

Eating ramen for the past 9 months since i started modding my 1er to pay for mods. Seriously, I spend food money (as well as a lot of other money) on mods.

Not selling it after 12 or so dealer visits, 2 fuel pumps and 25+ days out of service.
Beginning every test drive by asking how the car compares to my 135. Finishing every test drive happy to get back into my car. Making sure that whenever she is parked on a NYC street that she wears more bumper armor than a police officer wears on his chest.

When you pull over 100m before the dealer when you're getting a service to pull out the golf tee and re-insert the exhaust valve.
Vice-versa when picking the car back up after the service |

Being the only guy in the employee parking garage who parks his own car, and doesn't have a parking sticker in the window (because everyone in the garage knows the car).

Ok, try this for size.
With a recent accident in my Focus and it being in the Body Shop/Repair, I had to commute in my 135 for two weeks. While I HIGHLY enjoyed the drive time, I didn't enjoy how dirty it got. From oily crud to bugs, it got so dirty, that I literally had to go through 5 of my "pre-softened extra-soft tshirts" to wash the car, because every time I wiped the car, oil would get on the tshirt and then smear down the car. And that's not the bad part. I finally gave up using only tshirts after 3 of them, and then with my clearcoat-approved bug/tar cleaner, I sprayed down the entire car, and then hand-massaged the entire car. No, not just wiped, but literally with my fingers had to hand-massage the gel into all the oil and bugs to get it all off. That alone took an entire hour to do, and THEN after rinsing all of it off, I then started to wash and wax the car......and wash AND WAX the wheels. Did it in 95 degree heat, and got a bit of heatstroke. Now, is that "addict" enough? Now, back to taking my Lithium/Abilify/Cymbalta/Seroquel/Vodka cocktail.
