128i BBS LM or CSL rims?
Hey Everyone,
Just picked up a 2009 128i and I'm deciding on rims for it, just wondering what everyone thinks about BBS LM's over CSL rims? I'm thinking about a 18" staggered set up for this. I was all over the CSL's until someone showed me some pictures of the BBS LM's and now I'm lost! Thanks!! |

i don't think BBS LM fit our car, unless you are getting reps.

LM Reps! Everyone and their mother has CSL's!
Real LM and CSL wheels don't fit our cars, so the only options are replicas.

BBS LM style is nice but only the reps are 5x120. Dont do a replica look at VMR wheels. They have similar style and are decently priced wheels I think you would love a nice set of powdercoated 718s

CSL Reps! These are Alufelgen in "sport titanium" finish, 18x8 F, 18x9 R.

Yeah they will be reps as they're the only ones that fit. If I go CSL it will be VMR for sure. It seems to be pretty much a toss up! So many people in Toronto have CSLs especially all the E46 M3's around town.. |

The problem with 1-series wheels is that their offset is quite different from the 3-series. I had to order these back in 2011 before we picked the car up, as it took almost 5 months to get them! By now you should have better luck locating a set that will fit properly.

I personally just bought the 18" CSL in matte black for my AW 135.
I am really not a fan of the BBS style, doesn't mesh with the lines of the car in my eyes. |

This is exactly the color and type I would like to put on mine, can you tell me where you found them and how much you paid for the set?

Sure - as I recall, about 8 of us did a group buy through Wheel Addicts, and they were around $900 - $1000 for the set. A good price, I'd say. I'm hoping eventually get a set for my new F30 in the correct offset if Alufelgen will start producing them.

Ordered a set of 18" CS7's from OEM concepts in Montreal, should be here next week - 1200$ shipped to Toronto which isn't bad, might have been able to get them cheaper from US but might have got hit with some huge broker fees etc after so decided to just go with an all in price.
I plan on running them on Hankook V12s as I hear some people rub running Michelin Super Sports with 225/255.. |

Installed them on Thursday and they're awesome! Have already got some compliments from people around town LOL
I'm glad I didn't go with the 19 inch as the 18 with sport suspension really fills things out and just overall look amazing. I mounted it with a set of Potenza RE760's and so far so good, I think I'm still burning off the glue though...as soon as they were mounted they were pretty slippery but seem to have gotten better over the weekend. I'll be posting a review in a couple weeks on initial impressions, when I was searching around I didn't find much on the Potenzas..mainly on V12's and PSS. |
