As of yesterday (1-800 automated), still sitting on the dock waiting for a boat to Charleston, with no shipping information. Courage left 5/17. No reason to believe I'm on it, but I have an e-mail into my CA. Integrity next.

I am on the Courage as well. Should be on its way to the US once it makes its stops in the Belgium and the UK.

Here is a question for someone. It docks in NY on the 27th of may. What are the chances that I can pick it up at my dealer on June 7th? The reason I ask is that I live in Buffalo but ordered from Gault Auto Sport BMW in Binghamton. My family lives in NYC, so I figured it would be cool to see them (and they can see my new car) on Saturday the 7th. The drive for both of us is around 3 hours, so needless to say it must be on a weekend if I am going to meet them. The problem is they have a wedding to go to the 14th which would be the next weekend I could get the car, so I wouldn't get to see them.

So I guess the question is, how long will it take to get the car from the port to my dealer?

I would say pretty darn good - read the other thread about what happens at VDC - you should have within a week of hitting port..

For those on the Courage - does the 800 number or OC confirm this already or did you hear from your CA?

I called the 800 number and was told that once the car is awaiting a ship, they do not receive any further info and that it is up to the CA to provide additional time lines.
Mine has been sitting on the docks since 5/7 and the 800 folks stated today that it is probably on a ship (although they can't tell which and if so).

the CA logs into centernet to get ship and sailing info - the 1-800 people should be able to do the same

Currently Courrage is in English Channel after leaving Southampton yesterday.

It's likely your dealer will get the car before the 7th but really depends on how long its in the VPC and then how long it waits for a carrier to your dealer. Asssume 7-10 days for those and a day at dealer prep but you should let them know your plans and maybe they can expedite, esp. if you paid list price etc.

No neither had the correct info. As others have said above. Once at the dock "ownership" is passed to the dealer and OC doesn't seem to get good info. Your CA is your best bet for realtime data and they have different tracking s/w that can get the status.

Courage callsign is WDC6907 if you want to track it

OC finally says that my 135i vert is now "en route to the preparation center."

I haven't received confirmation from my CA that the car is on the Courage (waiting on return e-mail), and when I put my VIN in on the WWL site it says it can't track my number, but I have to assume it is on the Courage because the Integrity doesn't go out for 2 days (to Charleston).

My tracking status just went to en route today.
Looking at the schedule for port Hueneme the last ship to leave
was the Phoenix Leader on the 18th. I have a call in to my CA to
confirm the ship for me but I'm pretty sure that's what I am on.
Anyone else on the Phoenix Leader ?

Just checked the Port of Charleston Vessel Report. It now shows that the Sierra Nevada Highway is expected in port on 5/21/08. Looks like she's getting to Charleston a day early.

I just got off the phone with my dealer and found out that my car came in today! I wasn't expecting it until Friday.

So here's my dilemna - My salesman at the dealer is on vacation and doesn't return until Friday. Do I wait until Friday when he'll be there to pick up the car or do I get it tomorrow?

My car came in today as well, grats! I went to check it out tonight but it was still being setup with the dealer prep. It was also filthy. There was a giant bird crap on the back right fender that freaked me out because it had been there for days. They jumped on it and wiped it off, then polished and buffed it out. Thankfully it was gone. I am NOT having them wax the car as I am getting my clear bra put on and then fully sealing the paint and detailing it myself after that.

I actually get the car tomorrow after they wash it and finish the prep. I also need to inspect it.
