135i warrenty for HPFP applies to what years?
Was talking to the dealer ( the finance guy) he said the extended BMW warranty does not apply to newer model years of 135i for the HPFP and turbos? He thought it only covered up to 2009 - 10 model years? Is that right?

Yes, up to 2010 model year as it was specific to failures on the N54 engine. Once they switched to the N55 engine after that, it wouldn't apply to those cars.

I think he's referring to the special warranty up to 120k miles that the HPFP had. Of course if you get the HPFP problem during warranty, BMW will fix it but I think the 120k miles warranty is only for N54 135i.

Exactly. The extended 10 year/120k mile warranty only applies to the N54, at least at this time. The HPFP on the N55 will still be covered like everything else under the standard 4 year/50k warranty.

Only 2008 thru 2010 135i's with the N54 engine are covered. And yes, some N55 engines do have the HPFP fail too.

BMW Sweden has refused to pay to replace mine
I was very surprised that BMW Sweden won't replace my malfunctioning HPFP under warranty and even more surprised after I read the pdf. Sounds like I might have to raise a little hell.

You should! Also have that presure sensor that sits on the feed line for the HPFP replaced as well. It can be the cause of some woes too.

Also remmember that the first cars with N55 are just comming into the 4yr/50,000 end of warranty period, guess just has to wait and see if BMW will add the N55 to the special warranty.. |

And yes, that service bulletin is only for the USA. I don't even think it applies for Canadian or Mexican cars. Although as we know a lot of the HPFP fail in these cars. Knock on wood... I am on my original HPFP with almost 100K kms on my car. I always feed it SUperPlus and also buy my fuel off post at the German Esso. So maybe thats why. ? I know a lot of guys as soon as they move(PCS) back to the states, their HPFP fails. BMW says its the bad fuel in the states. But that doesn't hold true bc we see HPFP failures in Europe too. Quote:
