Thumbs up GVRD - Winter driving - anyone get stuck?

So we had our first big snow storm yesterday, so how did everyone do?
Anyone got stuck or was it a drive in a park?

I have snow tires and no problem at all in Vancouver. If there was any concern, I thought I may get stuck on side streets that had a build up of slush. In the end, I took my time and it wasn't a problem at all.

Have snow tires on, no problems just had to avoid roads with too much slush/snow due to ride being lowered.

Having spent 10 years in Vancouver some time ago, and now 22 years in Kelowna (and always have had snow tires), I bet there was a lot of "mayhem" (cue the insurance ad on TV) on the Lower Mainland streets these past days. I know how many Vancouver drivers are in the snow, and the snow is usually very wet snow, and close to ice in most cases. Without snow tires, you are deadmeat, even with them, sometimes it's chancey.

And that doesn't take into account the large portion of "less than top-notch" drivers who reside down there.

Good luck, guys, you'll need it.......

It was quite entertaining watching all the meatheads in '4x4' pickups and SUV's go sliding off the road at normal driving speeds. Do they just decide that ABS and more wheels turning will save their stupid backsides when it comes time to corner or stop?

Nobody is on good all seasons, let alone snow tires out here it seems. We were going to go and sit out and watch on a certain street with the camera..
