Cupholder Mod for iPhone 3g

Not sure if anyone has done this before, but I figured I didnt need 3 cupholders, so I took apart my removeable cupholder today. I added a flat piece of plastic to it, then mounted an iPhone3G cradle to it (spray bombed black). Route an aux wire (Im looking for a lower profile aux cable as this one is nasty) and tuck it under and now I have a semi-oem looking spot for my iPhone. I could add a charging cable too and make it stealth but I didnt care about charging... This mod is reversible as I didnt want to fu*k up that cupholder - it looks expensive!

PS. this Apple iPhone3G cradle ($29 CDN) is solid, I swear it would take some serious chicanes riding on the curbs to knock the phone out while driving...

Looks really good! Probably hasn't been done before as almost none of us got 3 cupholders.

I threw away that stupid cup holder the moment I got into the car!
I looks horrible, nice for an Ipod though.
There is an Ipod holder built into the bottom of my armrest! Found that yesterday!

This mod is for the people who don't have USB options.. If you have one pls don't do it. It's pointless!
