128i LCI non Xenon equipped tails, really?
Was driving behind a 2012 128i last night and noticed the tails didn't look right. They were the new design, but the light bars were not illuminated. Instead there were 3 halogen bulbs that were used as the lights, and the light bars just looked like awful black bars in front of the halogen bulbs. The car did not have the Xenon headlights either. If thats the case BMW really went out of their way to cheapen the car. Glad I have my 2008 model with fancy tails, and non Xenon.

Weird. I saw a '12 128i convertible the other night with halogens and the only reason I noticed it was a '12 is because of the new tail lights (they were lit up "correctly"). I know it was a '12 because it also had the revised front bumper and wheels.

I have a 2012 128i M-Sport and the bars light up just fine. So do the new "eye lids" in the front. I heard somewhere before on this forum someone said neither of them light up on the 128i LCI models.....but mine surely do.

YES, really! There are TWO LCI versions. Cars with Xeons get LEDs... and cars with halogen headlights get normal bulbs, in the tails. See my post #55 (& #16) in this "LCI Tail Light" thread... http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=512006&highlight=lci+tail+lights& page=3 Dackel |
