Yeah they look really good, tell them to be careful with those bolts they are really tight as they are glued in with a blue loctite thread, might be an idea to mask off the surrounding area so they don't scratch the paint.

don't forget to replace the grey plastic inserts (seat belt) by black ones! That really looks much better. You can wrap / paint them, or as I did, order black inserts directly from Recaro (Recaro Sportster CS)

I quite like the silver inserts as well, particularly as I couldn't get the BMW performance logo changed, so now it kind of matches.
To re embroider the logo would really have needed the top section of alcantara on the seat replacing, even if just reinstating BMW Performance in Orange. Don't think Steve was up for doing that by hand ! Unfortunately couldn't get a close enough alcantara match. |

Here's a couple of pics of the installed seats. Not the greatest photos I'm afraid. Overall I'm very pleased. Certainly lowers driving position relative to the electric seats, and much more comfortable, at least for me with my dodgy back. Also hugely more supportive, I feel much more at one with the car. Swapping from the powered seats to these did seem to cause the dealer some headaches, they underestimated the job and ended up keeping the car overnight !!
Heat seating doesn't appear to work though, but I think I read somewhere that this would be a problem coming from the powered seats, (control box is in the seat I think). Doubt I will miss it too much with Alcantara but will query it tomorrow. Oh and it was a full restitch rather than painting them. Steve at CCS didn't think dye would take. The new thread isn't a perfect match but it's close. With hindsight I wish I had tried harder to source original Kyalami Orange thread from BMW. Pete |

The heat seating I was told should work even if you originally had electric seats. Did your dealer download the BMW retrofit instructions no 01 29 0 445 489? There is a retrofit cable that has to be fitted that is not part of the standard retrofit kit. Hopefully this is what's needed to operate the heated seats. Although my OEM seats were manual the heating is working with the Performance seats.
Is your stitching a little bit more yellowey orange than orange? I found this was what most suppliers were sending when I made the 1M mats. In the end I sourced the right colour from a supplier in Germany who said they supplied BMW with stitching for the 1M dash trim. |

They ordered and fitted the retrofit cable , so not entirely sure why heating is not working.
The stitching is missing the slightly redish hint that Kyalami has. The flash in the photo's doesn't help. |

Theyre definitely heated seats. I would have the dealer take another look. I know mine work.
Great job with the stitching. Adds a nice flair to the somewhat drab seats. |

Good luck. It took me two years to find them from a private seller.
