Ditto. Is that info available to all dealers? My dealer is allocated 219 cars/year with my salesman not being aware of the 1-series figures.

Has anyone gotten their allocation notification today, Christmas Eve?

Izzo - I went by Paul Miller today and placed my order, but I wasn't given a production #. Do you know what the difference is between having a production # from PM but not from Germany? My salesman confirmed they're still expecting delivery sometime in March. I ordered a Monaco Blue/Lemon...are you getting your car from PM? Thanks in advance and Merry X-Mas. |

Essex - I'm in the same situation. I placed an order with my dealer, but no production number. Apparently, they received an initial allocation, but only had one person on the list, so there was a "re-allocation" (sounds like there numbers were reduced).
Also worth noting: included in the initial allocation are the floor models. So if a dealer is allocated 5 cars, the first two may be 135 and 128 coupes for the showroom, the third may be a 135 convertible, also for show. That leaves 2 cars for customers. I'm the second on the list for coupes. But the list for convertibles was about seven deep. That surprised me a little. Not sure if anyone else had found something similar.

My dealer has 8 135's not for feb. but for the year. Supposedly the first one they will get other than the demo which can't be ordered to specs anyway wont come until April/May and probably May. Currently looking for a different dealer who can get me one earlier. If I am going to have to pay msrp for the car I better have it in the first month.

This is not a dealer ranking list like I was thinking about but one for customer service experience.

Thanks, Edge. My salesman didn't know how many they'd be allocated but "assured" me they'd begin receiving 1ers sometime in March (per BMW NA timeline). I was asked to give another $500 (bringing my total deposit to $1k so far) so if I don't get mine very soon after they're available in the US, I'll be displeased, to say the least.
So far, though, they've been just about on top of everything (ie taking my initial deposit prior to when other local dealers would, keeping me informed of timing, taking an order and pricing it out, etc). Like Izzo says, Paul Miller claims to be one of the larger East Coast so I'm hoping that bodes well for when I get my 135i... ARES, is your AL dealer a bigger one? |

I'm confused. I emailed my salesman a few days ago, but no response. Maybe off a few days for the Holiday. I am working in Thailand so I can't visit the dealership until I return in Mid-January. I'm hoping I can get a 135i by May or June, if I placed an order Mid-January. But, sounds like some dealers are getting very few...and some are not.
I really would not want the car until April or May anyway because I would like to get it after the winter. Should I be concerned that if I dont place my order very soon, I'll miss out on getting a 135i by at least June or at all? |
