BMW Special Order? (wheels)
I'm planning to order a 2011 128i with Sport Package but am not at all fond of the Style 263 W Spoke alloy wheels. I'd like to substitute standard 135i Style 264 wheels instead.
Does anyone have any experience "special ordering" a 128i with this type of request? I’d prefer to stick with OEM wheels/tires to eliminate any warranty issues, and I’d rather not pay for expensive wheels I don't like and then go through the process of trying to sell and replace them myself. |

Talk to your dealer... I don't see why they could not take your standard wheels on trade and sell you a BMW wheel package.
You can see what other kinds of wheels BMW CA offers here: http://www.bmw.ca/ca/en/owners/acces...s/content.html You can also click onto the Summer or Winter tire packages to see complete wheel/tire/TPMS combos on the left colum. Btw... you see look at the German website to get an idea of the prices... But its safe to say the US and Canadian prices would be less than over here in DE! http://www.bmw.de/de/de/owners/acces....html?cat=1002 |

Thanks; very interesting Deutschland web site. Many more wheel options available than here in NA. It appears an available upgrade from the stock 17" Style 256 wheels to 18" Style 264 is 600 € with the Sport package, or 750 € without.
This suggests BMW “might” consider my special order request (for a price of course). I’ve also asked the dealer if they would simply swap wheels/tires from a 135 when my car arrives. Another interesting discovery: staggered 17” wheels (my preference) are available with the Sport package in the US, whereas in Canada only 18” staggered wheels are offered. |
