Any advice on breaking in a leased 135i
Recently got a 135i and in Munich for the european delivery...really tempted to take it over 100 on autobahn but not sure about break in period. Its a leased car, any advice helps. Thanks

why worry about a lease?
If it were my car for the long haul, Id get the diff and transmission oil changed by 1000-1500 miles, as well as an oil change... Id drive gently for the first 500 miles at least. |

Does BMW spec a different break-in requirement for a leased car vs a non-leased car? If so, this is news to me.
I would imagine it is the same as a non-leased car right? In that case, 1200 miles under 4500 rpm, never and steady-state load on the motor, no cruise control. After that let her rip. However, for those seeking precaution, I had my oil changed at 1200 miles, but you will have to pay for it. |
