Hi from Spain! From RS4 to 1M Coupe

Hi everyone there!

After reading almost every single post during the last weeks, this is the first time I post here.

I´ve been driving and RS4 Avant (B7, 420 HP) for the last 4 years, but only 36.000 kms on it. Really fast car on any road condition.

2 years ago I bought an Abarth 500 Essesse as an every day car, which is really fun to drive (1.4 l turbo, 160 hp, 1.020 kgs).
Now I have a 2 year old daughter, so we use my wife´s Forester for travelling, so I my intention is to sell the RS4 and the Abarth, and purschase a M1 Coupe in Alpine white with almost every gagdet on it.

I have one question, what is it like on the M1 the option "Shadow line individual"??

My RS4 + Abarth:

hello,

the shadowline is the same as the optics-package-black which you got on your rs4 - basically the frame of the side windows is high gloss black instead of chrome - also the door mirror mounts

almost everyone ordered it so far except for comparison eztonyc from korea:

I was thinking the same thing. Would complement the 1 so nicely.

It's just plain wrong showing us those awesome cars we can't get in the US... especially that RS4 Avant... it's sacrilege.

I think the best we got in the US was the S4 Avant back in the mid-2000s, and if it wasn't such a gas hog, I would love one. At least the RS4 gives you

Here's an idea: Keep the RS4 and sell the Forester+500...

ok, thanks for your answers! I would go then for the shadow line.

Can´t you get the RS4 Avant in the US? Sorry about it...

You could always buy mine´s...

Some more pics of the van:

And it is quite fast...:

No you couldn't. They brought over the RS4 sedan and then the vert for one year.

We never get awesome wagons or hatchbacks in the states

I would say that it's a hatred of tailgates, but then why does this country love SUVs CUV Minivans and all those other craptacular things

To the OP, if I were you, I'd sell the Abarth (that little car looks very nice though) and the wife's Forester. Give the RS4 Avant to the wife and get myself the 1M

Btw, the shadow line trim is standard on the US spec 1M.

The RS4 sedan and cabrio was sold for two model years in the US market. My buddy got an 2007 RS4 and LOVES it! He is worried about racing my tuned 135i one day. lol

Ohh really? I knew the B7 sedan was around for two years. I almost bought a lightly used 07 in 08 but I thought the vert was only around for a year.

I know the vert was awful tho. Suffered from massive rigidity issues

Well... I am 100% sure the RS4 sedan was made for two model years. I am not sure about the cabrio though. Even so... my buddy was searching for his perfect RS4 for almost eight months! These cars were just not made in huge numbers. I think less then 1,000 crs over those two years for the US.

I`ve had also RS4, sedan and avant, loved them, now I`m waiting for 1M in AW. I would sell the Abarth and Forester, and keep the RS4, especialy with such a low milage. I think consumption is the same on RS4 and Forester, so no piont keeping the dull car

I have an RS 4 sedan (keeping it) and picking up an AW 1///M in August.

No avant love for us here in the US nor buckets/ceramic brakes!

I agree with the rest keep the RS. I know many guys that moved on and now regret it.

hahahaha!
You are not helping me... A cannot move to the M 1 if I don´t sell the RS4...

The question is, will I regret if I make this movement? I suppose both the RS4 and M1 are very similar in terms on acceleration.
I am sure the rs4 is easier to drive fast, while the M1 is more fun to drive

I recently sold my RS4 in order to buy the 1M. Unfortunately my allocation is not until November, I'm hoping that changes but not betting on it. The RS4 was a great var, hard to part with however i did not need the 4 doors.

That makes 2 of us And agree on all points!

Mon450: keep the RS 4 Avant, it is something special! Those Audi Exclusive seats are pure sex, something us Gringos can only masturbate over...

Ya gotta stop calling it the M1...

But, do it, sell the rs4, buy the 1m then in 12 months when your wife isn't looking add an m5 touring....

I'm teaming my soon to arrive AW 1M with a BSM 3.0d M Sport X3. Works for me!
