As a finish, chrome is actually very nice. It's durable and easy to clean. The downside is that because it's plated, if it gets damaged/curb rashed, you basically have to rechrome the wheel or lip. It's like a more shiny polish that requires minimal maintenance.
John Zhang polished his V701s out and they came out great. Imagine just a hair shinier with minimal maintenance!

Hey MSV, I have a set of painted 261m available and I am near you in O. C . Just took them off a 135 with only 20k miles. Staggered and all true with no rash.
