Yes I think just about all portable GPS units have speed readouts. Not all store the maximum speed reached though. I wish iDrive had a speed readout function (maybe the 2009 updated on has?)
Yes lots of windy roads here with proper cambers. That's why they have Targa Tas here I suppose.

Had one of the new M3's up to 225 at Eastern Creek when I was last there and expect the e90 to yield similar numbers when I'm there this month.
