Ok
After how ridiculous the last post on this became and because as of next weekend I'll be the proud owner of my own 1er, I'm putting it out there to clear the air a little amongst members of this forum and have another meet up. I was thinking: Saturday 9 November 2013 Belvedere Bar and Grill Portside Wharf There is ample parking and the bar has always been good when we have been there (food looks delicious). RSVP via this post please so I can book a table Ta, Kirst |

... Whatever she lets me do? She won't tell me if she wants look good/sound good/go fast bits in what order -_- All she says is 'more red (engine cover etc)' and 'pink badges' I say downpipes/cobb/intake/spoiler/poly lip soonish, as well lol... They desperately need a tune and way more grip (even without a tune)... And going from my suspension to stock stuff is horrible. She just needs to get used to a rwd torquey car first, stock for a few mth haha |

If you're gonna go Cobb then I'd heartily recommend an FMIC to go with it... All their decent maps need an upgraded intercooler. The stock one is shit...
I'm going to pretend I didn't read the words "pink badges"... |

Oh. And get the CDV and Adjustable Clutch Stop. 2 cheap mods that massively improve the feel of the manual transmission.
If you don't believe me you're welcome to sit in my car and feel the clutch action... |

Ohh And first up - valve clean... Then occ+pcv valve And yes delete the CDV, got none in mine and it's just that BIT better ... No clutch stop though, is it really something you see benefit day to day+worth getting for her? Actually yeah... The 135 clutch is so much lighter for me, i can see it being easy to bottom out easily driving hard. I agree with the last part ... But.. Female owner? *shrug* |

IMO the clutch has too much travel stock. The last inch or so is unnecessary as the clutch is already fully disengaged.
The adjustable stop means that you can shift faster and smoother and I think that for a shorter person it will make a huge difference. It only costs something like $10 and has 4 different settings and takes 2 seconds to install. |
