WTB: used 12 mm spacers
Anyone got some 12mm spacers they no longer need? I bought an AP racing BBK and need some spacers for my APEX track wheels..

Photos courtesy of Wade...thanks bro.
Not sure if I have the skills to install, might just take to a shop after I get them painted VO or Blue...not quite sure yet what color to go with them, right now they are competition gray. What do you guys think about caliper color? I want something different than Brembo red and black is to dark with black rims and black trim.... Thoughts?

I'd paint them VO. Nothing else on the car is blue except the BMW emblem and the euro place. I persoanlly think it would be out of place.

+1. FK makes good stuff. Or H&R spacers. I think evenTireRack.com sells H&R spacers. You can look on Amazon.de or EBay.de under spur verbreitung(Sp?).

I wouldn't paint the calipers at all and I wouldn't pay someone to install them either. Brakes are easy when you have access to a lift. Install Party to the rescue!

Ummm I don't think they are TÜV
1. whats the plan with the Emergency brake? Will the stock one fit? 2. A wheel designed to clear with out spacers would be a better/safer option...albeit more expensive.

When do you plan on getting them installed? Do you also have braided brake lines? LMK if you need any help.

@ Bob:
1. whats the plan with the Emergency brake? Will the stock one fit? Everything should be the same. 2. A wheel designed to clear with out spacers would be a better/safer option...albeit more expensive. Understood but unfortunately, I've got the APEX Arc-08s for track tires and APEX or someone in the know told me I'll need 12mm spacers if I want to fit those rims with this BBK. @ Nick: When do you plan on getting them installed? Do you also have braided brake lines? LMK if you need any help. Thanks for the offer to help. First I'll need to find new seals for the calipers, then get them powdercoated/painted and by that time winter will have hit and the M will be stored. So probably spring...and yes, I have two sets of braided lines...ones on the car and ones that came with the BBK. @ Specter88: are you selling your old brake calibers ? Not sure as of yet...interested? I'm sure the OEM are TUV unless the US brakes are different than the European M3/1M brakes....@ Dave? @ MrKleen: Install Party to the rescue! Thanks buddy, knew I could count on you giving me a hand. @ 135i OREO: Yeah...I know but metallic blue would rock with metallic VO...complementary colors giving me that little bit of differentiation...I was thinking VO calipers would be a bit too much VO as the car is so overwhelming bright in the sun.

The 1M came with the 19 inch wheels from the E90 M3 competition package...so maybe they will clear with out spacers?
Here it states only the 18" wheels require 12mm spacers. http://alekshop.com/products/ap_raci..._m3_1m_e9x_e82 Oh and it looks like your only swapping the fronts? so E-brake is not an issue. That's a pretty sweet set up.

And I'm doing all four...F & R, complete BBK that I got at a great price from a vender moving onto another project car. Here is one time that doing the slow troll on the FS and WTB sites, month after month paid off.

^^^ Help me understand....So you guys are suggesting to remove my track tires, sell the ARC-08s for less than i paid plus losing the shipping charges, then buying these other wheels and again paying extra for shipping, not to mention waiting at least amonth to get them, then mounting / balancing all of them...so I save myself the problem of spacers.
What am i missing as i plan this out using 12mm spacers? What will i sacrifice?

Spacers are a band-aid. I would use them till the tires on the wheels you have are finished, then I'd upgrade to wheels that fit over the BBK.
My US$0.02 YMMV
