1M page up at Sylvaniabmw.com.au

http://www.sylvaniabmw.com.au/script...lCategoryID=18

Not much info, other than what we already know,,BUT its a start..

NOT listed on the Configurator yet..

Already found one error on the page..They have listed max Torque in kw not Nm...

Maximum Power: 250 kW / 340 hp / 5,900 rpm
Maximum Torque: 450 kW + 50 kW / 1,500-4,500 rpm

Increase in track will be good for handling.

Increase in weight and drag not so good.

They really should have stripped the 1M out and made it more for track junkies that will drive it occasionally on the road IMHO. Offering a CF roof, the performance seats etc.

Will be interesting to see how much of the cooling, intake items etc can be transferred to a normal 135.

I like the VO in terms of colour.

Drag force is directly proportional to the CD coefficient and it's nearly 10% higher for the 1M. But BMW may say the M3 transmission may be more efficient thus delivering a few extra kW to the rear wheels. But will it be 10% more efficient because .33cd to .37cd is significant and at the top end (250 Kmh) that extra drag will use all of the extra power of the 1M.

Somehow I don't think our car (my wife will be the daily driver/owner) will see over 130 so prolly not an issue for us mere mortals

Makes a difference for me Alpine as I intend to use this car on at least one tarmac challenge series. The Vic round has used Lang Lang speed bowl a few times and I can hit 250kmh there!

Typical BMW: they now have the 1M up on the dealer sites. They also have the link on the main BMW.com.au site . . . but it's a broken link. Wonder how long it will take them to figure it out?

Haha Taka, that video is going to haunt me forever! I've learned my lesson though. Cold semi-slicks, gravel on the road, narrow 225 rear tyres. Anyway, my plan is to enter in the stock class this time and see how far this car can take me!
