BTW, on the weight subject, here is the comparison to OEM and BBS CH-R's. I know there is several lighter wheels options (ADVAN's my personal favorite) but the price goes up as the weight goes down.
Thanks! But.....

Sorry to tell you this but you are not allowed to bump this thread again until you have pics of the wheels on the car.

Let me to tell you something, I am not one to bump my own threads just for bump sake. There are far worse offenders around here, lol. I took the time to weight the wheels and gave a relevant weight comparison that was requested. I just got the wheels a day ago so obviously they are not on the car yet. Why the hell am I explaining myself to you anyways????

So here you go bub, another bump just for you!

Yes, the pics are of the stock wheel. I think he is going to paint these wheels to match his mirrors and side markers.

Just a warning regarding cracking. I've managed to crack an 18" BMW wheel with a normal winter tire mounted it.

I'm sure the m wheels are made to a higher standard, but 20" is pretty big for a 1 series - even an M.

The pictures above are pre-powder coating. They are 19". Just dropped them off to get stripped down to metal, then they will get powdered(to match the mirrors and side repeaters), then baked. Should be on the car in 10days or so.

It's been more than 10 days unfortunately. We got the custom matched powder last week and it's was a brick. With the recent heat wave in the mid west it solidified the shit out of it. Getting it shipped on some dry ice tomorrow. My patience is wearing thin. I hope the color looks good on the wheels and the wait is worth it! I should have some pics before the end of the week...

No kidding. Of course these would have been done by now if I had picked any color other than a custom Ferrari(non metalic Grigio Medio) color. Here is pics of the wheels chemically stripped and sandblasted down to metal. I am being told next week they should get baked!

Finally got the wheels done and mounted. Here is a quick pic for now. 'Powderful' yet subtle statement?

Thanks.

I could get away with some spacers in the rear but the front is tight, especially with the wheels turned. I don't want to introduce any rubbing like some have had(even with stock ride height). Right now I have no rubbing with it lowered, even at full lock.

i think 5mm wont cause issues in the front, rear 10mm would be perfect.

I love the concavity of these wheels on the 1M, it fits the overall design !

The color was pulled from Ferrari. Grigio Medio. It's a high gloss non-metallic fairly complex gray with many hues in it. Color changes dramatically depending on lighting conditions. Definitely not 'primer'. I personally love the color(black wheels a bit played out IMO) but at the same time I know not everyone will like it, and that's ok.

Awesome Wheels!

Wish you had posted some pics with them on the car before stripping them.
