@bmw13 - Beautiful car and super photos! Every time I see pictures of a clean BSM 1M it makes me wonder if I should have gone with that color.

@smolik - Very nice of you to resize the pictures. Thanks!

Thanks, and I know the exhaust is not perfect nor are the tips. I am planning on adjusting then/ it tonight when I get home. But stock, our exhaust are not perfect either, so I believe having larger tips does make it more apparent.

IMHO the screw/bolt system on each of the outer Akra tailpipes is mounted on the wrong side.

Checked mine to be sure: the screw/bolt system of both tailpipes at the driver's side is mounted symmetrically on the right hand side of each tailpipe + the screw/bolt system of both tailpipes at the passenger's side is mounted symmetrically on the left hand side of each tailpipe. Otherwise stated: mine are located symmetrically inwards, "looking" towards the middle of the car, not towards the outside. For cosmetic reasons you are not supposed to see this screw/bolt system when looking at the tailpipes from the side of the car (discreet).

Check also whether the inner tailpipe at the driver's side is still well-aligned. The first picture shown below gives the impression that this happens not to be the case (anymore). However, you got to check that up close (maybe this tailpipe moved a bit since installation ?).

Anyways, feel free to mount the tailpipes according to your personal taste. It's just a suggestion.

Agreed, here was our 1M with the bolts both facing to the inside of the car chassis.

I was surprised no one called this out earlier!

I actually took my car to an event this weekend. It ended up getting a lot of attention/ photographs and I actually entered it into a Dyno contest. I won uncontested in the 6 cyl category @ 339WHP & 375TQ. I won my first trohpy So it was on the dyno in front of 200+ people and you could really see how off/ unsymmetrical the tips were. A couple photographers pointed out the tips were really uneven/ not symmetrical before the dyno but it wasn't until my buddy got there, who installed the Akra on his fathers 1M, informed me that the tips were installed incorrectly. Despite liking the aggressive look the bolts gave, it definitely looks better with the screws on the inside/ how it is supposed to be! Driving behind me was not a pretty sight... But all is good now! That same friend came over two nights ago with a torque wrench and made them perfect!

Seriously though, thanks for pointing this out to me! Do not ever be afraid to call me out, I honestly had no idea this was wrong! The screws will eventually start gnawing into the diffuser, if not installed correctly!

Alpine* seconded that:

Checked the installation manual: apparently Akra suggests to let screws/bolts of both tailpipes "look" at each other (thus not visible from the side, but also not symmetrically facing the inside of the car chassis).

Looks great.

What % tint and what film do you have? I'm thinking of tinting mine soon and like how yours looks.

Also, would you mind taking a picture of the trunk spoiler from above? I'd like to see how deep the spoiler is and how the CF looks against the black?

Thanks!

TINT: 15% ceramic sides and rear. No tinting or stripe on windshield

As far as my spoiler, I had it color matched as I am not a fan of too much CF.

Thanks for the response and posting pics of the spoiler! I'm not a huge fan of CF either, so I'm still debating what to do.
