Which do you think will be the definitive entry-model?

Hi all:

I am asking this because the model I would be interested would be the 118d coupé:

I absolutely love this model since I first saw it in photos, and I know it's going to be more expensive than I was willing to spend, but I would make the effort for the cheapest, as I think that the 1.8d would be enough for my needs.

As I am seeing from BMW in other models, (i.e. 3-series coupe), lately BMW is providing each model with plenty of engines, but for the 1-series in Europe I have only read about 120d, 123d and 135i.

So does anyone know which would be the entry level, or either way, if the 118d would ever be produced?

Thank you.
