Are VMR wheels performance wheels? Are they light and durable? The price seems to be low so it is worrying me.

I notice you have the OEM 264's in the background by your garage. Did you note the relative weight diff between those and the VMR's?

Looks great BTW!

Wheel Quality seems to be pretty good.
They are not super light weight. I did not weight them, but there doesnt appear to be a large weight difference between them and the stockers.
I would say its a great wheel for the $$.
Im not tracking the car, so the weight isnt a huge concern to me, plus the difference in ride and handling of the tires is a vast improvement.

I know the 255's have a section width of 10.2" and the Dunlop star specs are 10.3" but the dunlops weigh 3lbs more than the Hankook because they have a stiffer sidewall so that means more rubber on the sidewall. I am not sure going with the Star specs would be worth it for a day to day car. The stock 245 RFT's weigh 26lbs and so do the Star Specs the Hankooks weigh 23lbs each for the 255's. You combine that with a light weight rim like a Breyton at 18.2lbs or a forgestar F14 and you drop 11lbs per wheel which is a big difference. that ranslates to 44lbs of regular weight savings per wheel.

I think the stiffer sidewalls of the Star Specs will help @ the track, but Im so impressed with the ride and handling of the Hankooks that for a daily driver, I think they are hard to beat.

Great to hear that you still like the Hankook's. I'm having mine installed this week. No more crappy RFT's!

I am new to this... so forgive me if this is a stupid question. I looket at VMR website and the choices for offsets for the 5x120 pattern on 18" wheels seem to be

18x8.5 (am assuming these are the ones you have at the front) are 20/35
18x9.5 (am assuming these are the ones you have at the rear) are 22/33/45

Where did you find VMR 710 18" with the offsets you mentioned?

Thanks

Ya I cant wait to get rid of my RFT's. Even with a 2nd gear launch I cant pull any better than 2.1 60ft and a 0-60 of better than 4.5-4.6 and I know the car is capable of 4.2-4.3. The thing just spins the tires in 2nd even with a soft launch and rolling into the full throttle. As soon as the JB3 kicks the boost in those RFT's are crying.
