Chrome Exhaust pitting
I've had my 1M since Sept and cleaned the chrome tail pipes with brasso every week when I cleaned the car. Suddenly two weeks ago the soot was harder to remove and remained on the chrome.
I cleaned it off with some very fine wire wool but it seemed to have 'pitted' the chrome. I dont want to rub too hard for fear of removing the chrome. Any suggestions on how to remove the pitting and keep it from happening again? Thanks |

Any photos??
I wouldn't be using the Brasso on the exhaust pipes. Simply use a warm water solution with detergent and maybe some baking soda. It sounds like you clean the car regularly, so no need to be aggressive with them. If you want a good metal polish that you can use on anything, try Purple Metal Polish. Hope this helps! |
