Possessed side mirrors
My 09 135i had developed an electrical glitch with the drivers side mirror and occasionally the passenger side where when I turn off the car and then remove the key fob the side mirror moves. It's only when I turn the car off and as soon as the fob is removed. The moment amount and direction is always random. I've tried both fobs and resetting the seat pre sets and it makes no difference. Should I try disconnecting the battery to reset everything perhaps? Any suggestions? I have a jb4 but I can't see why this would upset anything and it's only recently started doing this. Very frustrating.

There is a bulletin on this issue for E9X and E8X cars... Corrosion develops in the electrical connector for the mirror motor, causing the issue. Only thing to do is pull the glass out, pull the motor and clean the contacts.
