Talking Spyshot of a german M1 car registration

Hey guys,

Great news!
Don't ask how - I talked to my car dealer today and he showed my the official german car registration of a test M1 Coupe which has been in service there. Nevertheless, I took the chance to make a picture of it and here it is:

Is that for a M1 or for a 1 Series M Coupe? Suspect it's the former based on the listed tire sizes.

Nice pic though

If 260 / 6000 means 260kW @ 6000rpm and if this figure is accurate for the final car then that would mean 348bhp / 353PS ... Good

1er Reihe means 1-Series ...

Could be winter rims/tires. Dunno whether 17inch rims fit ...

Supposedly not. The winter rims we were shown were 18s and still quite dished.

Sounds right. If its M3 brakes and suspension, I don't believe 17s fit on M3, so seems unlikely.

Then this is really wierd ... car length and engine displacement are definitely those of a 1-Series with N54 ...

Do we have any German Zulassungsbescheinigungs-specialists here that could tell use what all the codes (e.g. V.7 F.1 and so on) mean?

Edit: found one here in German ...

A VIN starting with WBAUC is a 135. Game over.

It belongs to the M Division.
At a guess possibly one of the cannibalized 135i - 1M mules.

NICE find!

OP, why did you blank out the bottom grey box with all the car options? Lets see those! The big box on the bottom of your photo of the KFZ schein.

Also interesting is this car has "AC" plates. That can only mean it is registered in Achen. AND... we all know which BMW tuner is located in Aachen!!!

Dackel

PS: The answer is AC Schnitzer!

Thats Bullshit... its the normal one from the 135i. On almost all german "Zulassungsbescheinigung" there stands "M1". Also note the grayed out initial registration date above M1, which looks to be 2008.

And the power specs also doesn't mean so much because thats the billable kw power in terms of taxes. Thats usually differ from the actual specs.

Road Taxes (payed every year in Germany) are no longer billed or calculated on HP/Kw or engine displacement (cc's). Taxes are now based on CO2/Km AND euro norm (ie Euro 1 = highest taxes, Euro 5 = lowest tax bracket). I think all cars made after next year WILL HAVE to be Euro 5 or better.

ok, didn't know about that changes.
Anyway, this copy is not from the M1, it also says M1 on a Volkswagen Golf "Zulassungspaper"

M1 is a vehicle class, it's a EU thing. Different vehicles belong to different vehicle classes, based on weight, axles, seats, etc, and then are subject to different regulation for their type approval.

M1 is the class for all passenger cars with no more than 8 seats.

Best regards,
south

That is a tuned 135i by Ac Schnitzer. In Germany if you have a modified car it has to be writen in the "Zulassungsbescheinigung".

I am not so sure now. I think we have been had here. The registration paper is a FAKE.

The German 1er forum guys say that Schniter automobile VINs start with "A C S" not WBA. AND... if it were a M production model it would start with: WBS.

It looks like this posting is a fake. To feed our 1M hunger.

I think the 1addicts user name: Marwol(above in this post!) is also BMWUA guy on the 1er forum.

You can read more here(in German) of course. In post #29 he kind of admits that it was him and a fake.

Ok guys,

just to clarify - this is my first post here in this forum!!!
Nevertheless It was a joke and somehow I was involved in it.

1) M1 is a vehicle class in the registration and isn't carrying any valuable information
2) BMW already announced 340hp (as usual: according to german rules)
3) 135iS is the BMW sales code for any regular 135i and can be found in the
technical information system of BMW since 2007
4) AC Schnitzer is not a car manufacturer and therefore they haven't
any registration code like "WBAxxx" - in case of tuning all original data will
remain anchanged.
5) german car taxes are billed upon cc (engine size) until 2009.
Now it is changed into a mixture of cc and CO2 exhaust. Mainly the charged
amount is unchanged in most cases. Gazoline cars got a little cheaper; fuel
consuming cars slightly more expensive (due to fuel consumption and the
related CO2 exhaust).
6) The registration is a fake and not taken from a AC S chnitzer car.
7) Tire sizes are used for winter tires in this case. But mainly depends on the
rim sizes - in this case 8x17 OZ Ultraleggera

and keep you feet on ground - the new M1 will be a quite normal car.
