Damn that's a sexy ride. I want one so bad but think I'm going to wait for the next one to come out (if there is another one) so hey can fix any kinks. Thanks for the pix.

Verrrrry nice, but, you could be on the way to serious injuries due to the harness A. without a roll bar and B. the angle where it connects to the child seat connections. If you get into a rollover and the roof collapses your screwed and cannot get out without a rollbar keeping room for you... The angle of the strap from the seat pass through to the rear seat is all wrong from a legitimate safety standard in most sanctioned racing bodies... They should be straight back through the seat pass through or slightly at a downward angle. But NOT to the extent that anchoring them to the child seat connections are. Badddddd JUJU my friend.

The harness doesn't look safe to me either, based on my experience researching a harness for another car, but I am not an expert.

It is not safe at all.... Harnesses without the proper requisite equipment is for showboating only, and holds no purpose in a street car but potential injury/death. At teh least he needs a harness bar, best would be a roll bar.

It's not a racing harness. It's a street-legal 4-point street harness.
Manufacturer says specifically that it's for non-competition open track days and street usage.

Sweeet BSM 1M

Totally agree with you on taking pictures of your 1M while you can actually drive it....

Interesting remarks & questions on the racing/street harness... look forward for more infos!

Mk II version of BMW performance steerig wheel (the version without the electronic display):

So we just need to swap the blue band with an orange band (to match 1M interior stitching) and good to go !

Then again, the flattened wheel might not be ideal for drifting ?

I wish 1series & 1M was streched out by 20% (from side view).
The rear looks out of proportion to my eyes, or the roof is just too tall...

It's like somebody edit the photo, reducing the width but keeping the height the same.

This's what I did with an e92 m3: Reducing the width by 20%, while maintaining the height, & I think it looks like a 1M

Or It's probably just my eyes.

p.s. I googled for an e92m3 & chopped the pic. Not sure whose car that is. Sorry about that!

How else can they make a smaller car, which can still seat 4 people, does have a usable trunk, is a coupe model, but weighs less than a 3-series ?

Not many options left

The front end is mean with the black grills. Spoiler is subtle but a nice addition too. These were going to be my first mods and this confirms my decision. You clearly have good taste I was going to lower mine as well but the stance on yours looks pretty good, maybe its the colour or the angle of the photo's.

The seats look really nice but cost too much for me and I agree with the other folks on the 4 point harness. These should only be run with a roll cage of some description.

They made a great e36 m3.
For that size, It just needs a wider track & round corners for modern look.

Then you have a brand-new car with perfect proportion, & fits your requirements.

Oh well...

Loved my flattened steering wheel which works like a colored band without having to look: You can feel the position of the wheel with just your hands, and can therefor use your eyes to more safely overlook the remainder of the drift.
