Rear passenger LED Failure (BMW 135i 08')
Hi Guys,
So the rear passenger LED has failed on my car. I have researched through all the posts regarding this problem and it would seem that this is common problem with the Bmw 135i, and requires a full replacement unit. Anyway, i took the car into the BMW dealership to get this fixed under warranty and BMW ordered a replacement light unit. The problem i have is that the replacement unit arrived this morning and was fitted by BMW however they explained that the light unit did not sit correctly in the area it supposed to go. They then ordered a second light unit and this had the same problem, it did not sit properly in the designated area. My question is has anyone else experienced this problem, the guys at BMW have contacted the head office to see if it a bad batch of light units, but i just wanted to know if there is something else that you guys may know about this, for instance seals, mounts etc. The car is going back in again next week to see if they can fit the light unit. Thanks in advance, David |

Do they know what they are doing?
It can look like it doesn't line up, but when you properly tighten the mounting bolts the alignment squares up. |

Sorry for the delay. Problem was resolved it turned out there was a faulty batch of rear tail lights direct from BMW, something to do with the internal moulding and the way that its sits on the mounting. Anyway problem is now resolved : )
