Also could you explain a bit more on how it is not detectable from the dealer and is there the option of performing my own reflash ... maybe from a laptop or something??? |

Give us about 3 more weeks Driftmotion we will have hand held unit available at an awsome price, this way you can go back and forth between programs as you please. Myself or HP Autowerks will be putting this up when ready. No final price yet.

Yes this unit will be self contained, you would need to use a computer to retrieve files if needed. The unit itself holds up to 3 different programs i.e. stock, stage 1 and a stage 2 tune on the unit.
Also you can purchase the unit from your local dealer with a flash on it if you do not have an LET staged program on your car and then you can upgrade to any stage file you would like or have a custom file made for you. |

wow this is really really cool- one question i had- the sstt advertises mpg increases and some have experienced better mileage in normal (ie not being overly pedal happy) driving- have you seen the same with actual tunes or decrease or no real change?

Are you talking about this unit: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=229871 It will cost you more for the same procedure, you are better off just having the flash done. |

A hand held switchable unit will be avaiable soon to allow the end user to switch between stock and a performance flash tune, but you will still need to have an authorized LET dealer perform the flash or rent the remote flash tool for DIY. |

is this something that can be done say, on the go, ie can we flash back real quick while waiting for the tow truck once our HPFP has gone or for some other reason, my HPFP was just replaced with the 881 put in, but who knows how long the 881 will go or whatever else may happen

With our new units flashing takes about 15 minutes to flash your car, the hand held units are not finished being tested so I dont know the flash time yet. But it is highly recommended to have the car on a stable power supply while flashing.
