Finding Tyres
I've been looking for new tyres for my 118d Convertible, however they seem to be hard to get. Fronts 215/40 R18 Rear 245/35 R18 Run flats.
Has anybody bought any recently..? |

No problem finding run flats for the rear but seems to be hard to find run flats in the front size. Fitting 'normal' tyres will improve the ride quality and are much cheaper.

Tires
I am currently looking at new tires and didnt want to go down the runflat route. I rang my insurer and they said its absolutely fine, i also have an email confirming this.
Also, they are a little easier to find at 225/40 and 255/35 which is the preffered setup that many people seem to go for. I am personally looking at getting some Michelin Pilot Super Sports in 225/40/18 and 245/35/18 (the 255 are harder to find in the super sports). I have been advised to ensure i get the XL rated (stiffer side walls) tires also. |

I really didn't like the feel of the RFT's and the slightly wider tyres just protect the rims a little more. |
