1M front bumper on a 135i?

I have been hit in the carpark and it's left a decent scratch/dent, the panel beater says a respray is $1200, I was thinking of going an aftermarket 1M bumper. What do you think about the 1M bumper on a 135i? Who would you buy it from? Any advice greatly appreciated.

If I was gonna put a 1M front bumper on I would also have to do rear and side mirrors, so it can be like a proper kit people do for aesthetic reasons.

Correct.

His name is Walter B. from New Jersey.

Him and his buddy made it through EuroTecknik

TWO OEM BMW Bumpers were used. E46 & 1M

OEM vents and grills as well.

If you buy a new bumper you're going to need to spray that as well.

There are a few companies selling 1M style E82 bumper such as Rieger

Get a genuine bmw performance bumper.

I bought mine and then paid $220 to get it painted at my local BMW Bodyshop.

It's cheaper to paint a new primered bumper, than it is to sand back an old one and then re-spray.

ehhhh, that bumper looks horrible on the e46.. doesn't flow with any of the body-lines whatsoever, just my opinion though

I've looked at a few options, including bolt-up 1M replicas to suit the standard, narrower 135i guards, as well as a full 1M retrofit (e.g. ER widebody). The former is not too expensive but the latter is substantially more so expensive after factoring in all the additional parts and I couldn't justify the cost.

Here are a couple bolt-up options:

Kerscher plus lip.
772 Euro ~= $1200 + shipping costs + duty/gst/etc.
Note: the Kerscher bumper seems to only have permanently raised headlight washers.

Rieger Tuning - bumper, lip & mesh.
569 Euro ~= $900 + shipping costs (duty/gst not applicable). Although if you need some of the other listed parts (160 Euro ~= $250) then this will bump it over AUD $1000 and be subject to duty/gst/etc.
Note: the Rieger bumper can be supplied with either flat or permanently raised headlight washers.

Both options will probably cost $2000 or more landed and then you have to paint it.

Ramspeed Imports (Sydney) sells Kerscher and Rieger, although they don't list the Rieger for E82 on their affiliate website so you may just need to call them to enquire as to whether they can supply it. Here are their Kerscher links for the bumper for AUD $1125 and lip for AUD $572, which is about $1700 + shipping - so again, probably $2000 delivered, unless you can pick-up - and then extra to paint it.
