Should come to about $150 for both repaits from a good Leather/Fabric repair guy. Most are mobile and will come to you. Call your local dealer and ask who they use.

Not a bad idea. Just do your research.

So sad that a 2012 car already has burns in it.

Called a few upholstery places and they said that if they repair the headliner the headliner and carpet it will a. still be noticeable and b. the repair is pretty much temporary since it will eventually fall off/out... Called bmw and it's absouletly insane to have it replaced $1095.87 parts (a pillar, headliner and front carpet) + $1130.50 labour+tax = $2515.80

Boy... at least it wasn't high heel punctures in the headliner..... who would have you to blame for that LOL....

seriously, the carpet is an easy fix... dealers do that repair all the time.. Ill agree that the headliner is gonna be tough, the material they are made of does not lend itself to being repaired well..

The upholstery places that I spoke to advised me that the carpet would eventually fall out so I mean is it even worth the $200?

If I was in your situation I would make the person that did it pay the $2515.80 to have it put right. There is no way someone is going to trash my property and walk away. Just my 2 cents but I see people get walked on every day and they seem ok with it. Perhaps if the smoker has to pay he will think twice about smoking in someone’s car next time

BTW what does the car look like of the person that did the damage? I would imagine it is burnt if he is trashing someone else’s new car

Well, amidst all of these replies I've gone back and looked at those pics, and I have one final thought. The headliner looks like it can be scrubbed clean. The carpet scar is very small. That's why I asked for a coin-size comparison earlier. I would NOT spend any money on the carpet one. It was a mistake and stuff happens, just try to not let it happen again. Before you know it, the insides are going to be full of wear and tear and it'll drive you nuts if you're constantly using a toothbrush, every day, to get to blemishes.

What would you recommend scrubbing it with?
